Pope Francis Makes Historic Trip to Iraq

Pope Francis is in Iraq for a historic visit, and today, he brought messages of hope amid the destruction in the city of Mosul.

He’s the first pope to ever visit Iraq, where religious violence has been tearing the country apart.

KCBS anchor Melissa Culross spoke with Father Mike Russo, host & managing editor of Sunday to Sunday and retired Professor from Saint Mary’s College.
