Evangelizers
A priest and three lay theologian educators
What we built
Courses, podcasts, newsletters, apps, livestreams, and social media
The challenge
A small band of educators spread across the country needed a way to stay connected with the people they serve, both between gatherings and beyond any single parish.
What we built
With our Lilly Endowment grant, we built the media behind CALLED: on-demand courses, podcasts, e-newsletters, community resource apps, livestream events, and social media. The first CALLED cohort used it to connect online and to meet in person at weekend retreats from coast to coast, one-day workshops, courses, and musical and parish events.
What it proved
The pilot grew four evangelizers into a nationwide movement and showed that our wraparound media approach can scale to new Catholic digital missionaries and their audiences.
The on-demand course.
Alongside its retreats and gatherings, CALLED: Attentive Heart offers an on-demand course with four instructors from the CALLED community: Called to Compassion with Kathy Lorentz, Called to the Journey with Fr. John Gribowich, Called to the Word with Nina Lambaugh, and Called to Our Longings with Gary Macaroni.
One CALLED event
A day for music ministers.
A one-day workshop for music ministers at Loyola Marymount University, with prayer, reflection, and renewal. We handled the marketing, registration, and logistics.
“There is a growing realization that pastoral ministers and, in particular, music ministers are increasingly isolated in their day-to-day work. Sunday to Sunday's vision and outreach helped us to define a pathway to providing a retreat for working music ministers. I look forward to working with Sunday to Sunday in the future.”
